Limon, CO has an elevation of approximately 5,365 feet (1,635 meters) above sea level. It is located in eastern Colorado and is the county seat of Lincoln County. The town has a population of around 2,000 people and is situated along the intersection of Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 24. The highest point in Limon is located on the southeast side of town, at an elevation of 5,579 feet (1,700 meters). The town has a semi-arid climate with low humidity and hot summers, as well as cold winters. Elevation is an important factor that affects the local weather and geological formations in Limon.
